‘Darkwater and Stars’ at Pueblos

The art works of Angelo Toledo-Malanyaon depict the play of colors in underwater images.

His sister is Claire Yen (Malanyaon-Leuterio), an international sports artist, who has done commissions by boxing champ Manny Paquiao and Hollywood celebrities Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie and Steven Tyler.

The two has mounted a joint show, “Darkwater and Stars,” at Dos Pueblos Art Gallery (4/L, Robinsons Galleria Ortigas), until  April 30.

Malanyaon, a Tourism Major in Ateneo de Naga University, does watercolor, acrylic and oil.

He is an advocate of sustainable travel and environmental conservation.

Meanwhile,  Yen does fantasy portraits of celebrities Marian Rivera as earth goddess; Anne Curtis, water;  Angel Locsin, wind; Iza Calzado, fire; and Dingdong Dantes.
