Clifford says: “You’ll need the basics, the clear spirits— that’s vodka, tequila, gin, rum. Those are the four basics for cocktails. You can start with those. Then you can use sodas, juices, triple sec, lime juice, curaçao and grenadine.”

 

Aaron adds: “Those who want to start mixing should just try experimenting. A vodka will go well with anything. Gin is a little more complicated. For tequila, they need something citrusy and they really need to add salt. For rum, fruit juices.”

 

On this page, we share with you six of their favorite cocktail recipes. We find it interesting that Aaron and Clifford don’t want to keep them a secret, but Clifford says in a matter-of-fact way, “We want them to do it at home.”

 

Virgin Killer

 

Ingredients:

 

1/2 oz Toska Vodka

1/2 oz El Hombre Tequila Silver

1/2 oz Old Captain Rum 5 Years

1/2 oz Kelly Dry Gin

1/2 oz Orchid Triple Sec Liqueur

1 oz Orchid Melon Liqueur

1 oz sweet and sour mix

Fill with 7Up

 

Directions:

 

Pour all ingredients in a highball glass. Stir and serve.

 

 

Island Temptation

 

Ingredients:

 

1 oz Old Captain Rum 5 Years

1/2 oz Orchid Coconut Rum

1/2 oz Orchid Blue Curacao

Fill with Del Monte pineapple juice

 

Directions:

 

Pour ingredients over ice in a highball glass. Stir and serve.

 

Melon Ball

 

Ingredients:

 

1 oz Toska Vodka

1/2 oz Orchid Melon Liqueur

Fill with Tropicana orange juice

 

Directions:

 

Pour the vodka and liqueur into a highball glass filled with ice cubes. Fill the glass with orange juice. Stir and serve.

 

Cliff Hanger

 

Ingredients:

 

1 oz Old Captain Rum 5 Years

1/2 oz Orchid Coconut Rum

1/2 oz Creme de Banana

1/2 oz Orchid Melon Liqueur

2 oz Del Monte pineapple juice

2 oz Tropicana orange juice

A splash of 7Up

 

Directions:

 

Pour ingredients over ice in a highball glass. Stir and serve.

 

Boracay Sunset

 

Ingredients:

 

1 oz Old Captain Rum 5 Years

1 oz Paradise Mango Rum Liqueur

2 oz Del Monte pineapple juice

2 oz Tropicana orange juice

1/4 oz Orchid Grenadine Syrup

 

Directions:

 

Pour the ingredients in the order as listed above into a tall pilsner or highball glass. Mix the bottom part of the drink using stirrer.

 

Sex in the Bahamas

 

Ingredients:

 

1 oz Old Captain Rum 5 Years

1/2 oz Orchid Coconut Liqueur

1/2 oz Orchid Melon Liqueur

Fill with Del Monte pineapple juice

 

Directions:

 

Pour the rum and liqueurs into a highball glass filled with ice cubes. Fill the glass with pineapple juice. Stir and serve.
