Flavors serves Elvis Presley menu

Flavors Restaurant serves Elvis Presley-themed menu this August. Diners can try the Elvis Sandwich, consisting of caramelized bananas, crisp bacon, creamy peanut butter and toasted bread.

Flavors is Holiday Inn & Suites Makati’s all-day dining restaurant located in the fourth floor.

On Sundays, Flavors serves Bacon Sunday Brunch.

At Oz Bar, the hotel’s poolside tequila bar, guests get a complimentary Pool Bear for every order of “The King” cocktail for only P450+.

Flavors, Citron Lobby Bar or Oz Bar offer half-off on selected drinks. The discount is valid for every order of all Coke variants, Budweiser, Jack Daniels, Jim Beam, Wild Turkey and Evan Williams.

Meanwhile, dishes that match blood type O chemistry are this month’s highlights at Citron Lobby Bar. For only P1,000 net per person, diners can enjoy unlimited servings of either US Choice Beef Tenderloin or Grilled Lamb Cutlets.

Mid-autumn fest at Makati Shangri-La

The Mid-Autumn Festival, popularly known as the Mooncake Festival in China, is celebrated at Makati Shangri-La, which offers a  variety of classic, snowskin and custard mooncakes until Sept. 20.

Mini mooncakes are priced at P388+; single traditional mooncake, P588+; eight pieces of mini mooncakes in a rectangular box,  P1,988+; four pieces of traditional-sized mooncakes in a square box and the two-tier deluxe mooncake box, P3,688+.

New pizza flavors at Papa John’s

Papa John’s offers new pizza concoctions such as the Tuscan Six Cheese, which is decked with the fine cheese variants (Mozzarella, Parmesan, Romano, Asiago, Provolone and Fontina) and finished off with Italian herb seasoning; and John’s Favorite, which comes in nine-, 12- and 14-inch sizes and combines pepperoni and sausage, spread generously on a base of six delicious cheeses.

New ‘designer’ pancake

Pancake House has come up with the Key Lime Pancake—lime-flavored custard slathered in between a tall stack of mini pancakes, topped with meringue and served with graham crumble.

Sushi fest at Inagiku, Makati Shangri-La

Makati Shangri-La’s executive Japanese chef Wataru Hikawa prepares a collection of sushi for Inagiku’s Third Wave Sushi until Aug. 31.

Hikawa features his handcrafted sushi creations and presents third wave sushi served with lemon and the finest sea salt from the abyss of Okinawa. Third Wave Sushi creations start at P250+.

Saboten, one of the largest Tonkatsu chains in Japan, is No. 1 in Spot.ph’s Top 10 Tonkatsu places in the country.
