Jaime Licauco and Cory Quirino collaborate on ‘Super Mind, Super Body’
Released by Anvil Publishing at the Manila International Book Fair, “Super Mind, Super Body” explores ancient and progressive ways to achieve one’s potential.
According to Licauco, “The human being is now regarded more like a machine with replaceable parts, and treatment has often been reduced to nothing more than mechanical and chemical interventions.”
“Several well-researched books show that the modern allophatic or chemical-based medicine have often failed in eliminating the scourge of illness, especially the chronic ones. And many illnesses have been caused by officially and legally prescribed drugs.”
Licauco emphasizes that in ancient philosophy, the body, mind and spirit are interconnected. Topics and issues he writes about include pranic or magnetic healing, mental or psychic healing, vibrational energy healing and memory enhancement. He also features a method where some cancer patients are cured by “suggestion” and “visualization” an effective form of self-healing.
The second part of the book is devoted to Quirino’s health and beauty rituals that slow down aging as well as nonsurgical solutions to beauty problems.
In her introduction, Quirino explains that to begin living healthy, one must begin with the self-actualization mantra: “You are one; you are whole; you are complete.”
She further stresses that the mind sets the path to agelessness. In this new paradigm, the mind, body and spirit are intertwined. This psychological reprogramming is essential in achieving a balanced state of wellness. Quoting Deepak Chopra: “We are the only creatures on earth who can change our biology by what we think and feel,” Quirino writes extensively about the different self-conditioning methods a person can use on his program to achieve health. Her nonsurgical solutions to slow down aging include laser and light therapies, mesotherapy, radio frequencies, dermal fillers, cleansing and proper nutrition.
Licauco is the author of 17 best-selling books on inner mind development, creative and intuitive management and paranormal phenomena and is a leading exponent of holistic or Complementary medicine. Quirino is a long-time advocate of wellness and natural beauty which she has written about in four best-selling books. She is also a crusader for virgin coconut oil and the national director of Miss World Philippines.
The books are available at National Book Store and Powerbooks nationwide.
