The social media network Viber ushered some eight million Filipino users in 2014, which was a cause for celebration via a New Year’s Eve countdown in Metro Manila and Boracay, dahlings.
Viber groups were treated to Cosmo Manille’s top night spots such as Republiq Club, Privé Luxury Club, Imperial Ice Bar, Publiko Pub and The Distillery.
At Boracay’s sprawling high-end Epic Club, moi joined the mob of locals and foreign visitors, including Russians escaping from the freezing winter of Europe. Everyone was having a blast partying. Thanks to hot shot Stephen Ku and JM Rodriguez.
Elsewhere in Boracay, there were also countdown parties at The Tides and White House.
In Quezon City, loyal Viber users had a grand countdown at Eastwood City.
Entertainment was provided by world-class performers such as Jessica Sanchez of “American Idol” fame, Bamboo, South Border, Up Dharma Down, and Viber DJ ambassador Ace Ramos. Joyce Pring and Boys Night Out’s Sam YG hosted the fab Eastwood happening attended by over 6,000 people.
At 12 midnight, there was a dazzling Star Drop followed by a grandioso fireworks display.
For extras, Viber minions decked in their purple outfits did a surprise performance to an Icona Pop hit track.
Viber groups had a blast during the trés exclusive purple Viber shots and the purple balloon drop. King of nightlife Eric Cua and Viber DJ ambassadors Ace Ramos, Mars Miranda, Martin Pulgar and Marc Naval kept the crowds dancing till the sun was peeking through the horizon, dahlings.

Nuvo chef’s birthday bash
Monsieur Xavier Btesh, general manager and international chef of popular Nuvo, turned 46 a week ago and close pals, fresh from their exhausting holidays came out to party with him, dahlings.
Xavier’s bash began with an “asalto” on the eve of his birthday with his close pals who called themselves “Xavier’s Angels,” who are all women achievers—Joi Natividad, Christine San Diego, Cheska Winebrenner, Cha Cha Abatayo, Vangie Montalbo, Lydia Cosico and Jean Philippe Henry.
Patrick Reyno and moi went to the swanky bar to greet him, “Joyeux Anniversaire!”
The following day, Xavier had another treat for his pals such as Sapna Uttam, Arrun Bhavnani, Ramesh Bhavnani, Meena Bhavnani, Marivi Armas and Xavier Ryan Singh.
From his successful stint in Paris, St. Tropez in the south of France, and Morocco, chef Xavier came to Manille in 2012 and transformed Nuvo into one of the top popular spots at Greenbelt 2 in Makati, dahlings, making it the chic partyphiles’ favorite hub.
Aside from cooking, his job requires him to go around the tables and entertain diners and guests, who easily warm up to the sinfully good-looking chef.
