IRENE Martel-Francisco and Dr. Randy Francisco
IRENE Martel-Francisco and Dr. Randy Francisco

Your mantra for the week:

I am a miracle worker creating miracles in my life and in other people’s lives.

Your self-talk determines, to a large extent, the quality of your life. The things you say to your self all day long lead you to behave accordingly.

MEL Meer

When I realized this, I decided to make certain thoughts permanent subjects of my self-talk. The lyrics of two songs, “I Love Myself” and “Dream,” are in my mind the whole day and I make sure that I replay them often.

I would like to share these beautiful lyrics with you. They are not only inspiring, but they also expound on certain psychological truths.

The song “I Love Myself” is one that will surely resolve feelings of unworthiness that many people experience and unwittingly create in their lives. They cannot seem to bring their desires into fruition because they believe they are not worthy of them.

MARIO Katigbak

So, I highly suggest that those who need upliftment, more enthusiasm and greater self-worth must make a habit of singing along with these beautiful songs in their minds and hearts. They can also download both compositions from the Internet.

‘I Love Myself’

(Jai Josephs)

I love myself the way I am/ There’s nothing I need to change/ I’ll always be the perfect me there’s nothing to rearrange/ I’m beautiful and capable of being the best me I can/ And I love myself just the way I am.

JOHNNY Litton

I love you just the way you are/ There’s nothing you need to do/ When I feel the love inside myself it’s easy to love you/ Behind your fears, your rage and tears/ I see your shining star/ And I love you just the way you are.

I love the world the way it is/ ’Cause I can clearly see/ That all the things I judge are done/ By people just like me/ So till the birth of peace on earth that only love can bring/ I’ll help it grow by loving everything.

I love myself the way I am/ And still I want to grow/ But change outside can only come when deep inside I know/ I’m beautiful and capable of being the best me I can/And I love myself just the way I am/ I love myself just the way I am.

MARIVIC Rufino

‘Dream’

(Peabo Bryson)

You can make your dreams come true/ That’s what you were born to do/ There’d be no TV, no rocket ships or toys/ If it wasn’t for the dreams of little girls and boys.

So dream of a world where everyone is friends/ Picture a sky where the rainbows never end/ Wish on a star no matter who you are/ Dreams really do come true.

ITALIAN Ambassador Massimo Roscigno and wife Agnes

Come and make a wish with me/ Wish on any star you see/ There’d be no ice cream or music in the world/ If it wasn’t for the dreams of little boys and girls

Everything you see started out as someone’s dream/ Someone just like you/ So don’t give up until your dreams come true!

My favorite people

We all have our favorites. My favorite of favorites is my favorite people. Up the social ladder, this is my list:

DJ Lopez, Nedy Tantoco

Nedy Tantoco, a person one would never suspect of being a top executive of several corporations because of her inherent sweetness and charming ways;

DJ Lopez, whose curiosity can only be matched by her beauty;

Mario Katigbak, for his perfect public and private relations;

Irene Martel Francisco, for running her own business empire without affecting her Dresden China looks;

MARIVIC Vazquez

Randy Francisco, for succeeding in looking like a playboy instead of a successful cardiologist;

Sonja Vecchio, for bringing back the glory days of Manila Peninsula;

Tony Vecchio, who has provided the perfect support for Sonja;

Johnny Litton, for his exuberance and wit under all kinds of pressure;

Grace Glory Go, for just being everywhere;

CORY Quirino

Tina Jacinto, who disguises her inner strength with her you-can’t-be-too-thin-in-New York look;

Becky Garcia, who manages to go to at least four socials every evening with still enough freshness and enthusiasm to go for a fifth;

Ambassador Massimo Roscigno, who can really be just-one-of-the-boys while maintaining his impeccable diplomacy;

Agnes Roscigno, who has her own kind of sparkle and yet never steals away the limelight from her ambassador;

Mel Meer, for opening up and closing businesses like they were doors and windows;

Cory Quirino, for doing her grandfather proud and for choosing me to be Megan Young’s consciousness coach;

Marivic Rufino, for being the artist that she is while maintaining her poise at all times;

Marivic Vasquez, who is always herself even when being so can get her into trouble.
