The Cultural Center of the Philippines will celebrate Earth Day at various venues of the CCP complex on April 13. Theme is “Clean Air.”

 

The event starts with a Fun Run at the CCP Complex at 6 a.m., followed by performances by Ballet Philippines and ventriloquist Wanlu at the CCP Front Lawn at 7:30 a.m.

 

At 8 a.m., exhibits and fair will open, and visual artist Junyee will unveil his artwork, consisting of 300 bamboo poles to be erected on the front lawn, creating an artistic cluster of “windmills,” which will transform the area into a place of wind movement.

 

At 9 a.m., a yoga class will be conducted by the Gentle Warriors at the CCP Main Theater Lobby. There will also be a “Chalk Art” activity to be conducted by the Philippine Art Educators Association at the CCP Lagoon Driveway Area.

 

At 9:30, the Philippine Biochar will conduct a workshop on using Biochar, Bokashi Balls, Hering Agents, at the CCP Ramp.

 

At 10 a.m., a dance class will be conducted by the Gentle Warriors at the CCP Main Theater Lobby while Haribon Foundation will conduct a guided tour on familiarization with trees at the CCP’s Liwasang Kalikasan.

 

At 10:30 a.m., Sipat Lawin Ensemble will do storytelling while Haribon Foundation will screen the film, “Biodiversity on Wheels,” at the CCP Promenade.

 

At 11 a.m., a kendo class will be conducted by Gentle Warriors at the CCP Main Theater Lobby, while the Bureau of Plant Industry will conduct a grafting workshop at the CCP Ramp.

 

At 11:30 a.m., ventriloquist Wanlu will stage his show, “Wanlu, Wan Earth, Wans More,” at the CCP Ramp.

 

At 12 noon, the Gentle Warriors will conduct an arnis class at the CCP Main Theater Lobby.

 

Other activities at the CCP Ramp: storytelling, 1:30 p.m.; kite assembly and flying workshop by the Kite Association of the Philippines, 2:30 p.m.; performance by Mga Anak ni Inang Daigdig, 3 p.m.

 

At 4 p.m., the Kite group will hold flying activities at the CCP’s Front Lawn, Ramp and Promenade.

 

At 5 p.m., there will be a Drone Video/Camcording at the CCP Ramp. It will be followed by a performance of Mga Anak ni Inang Daigdig at 6:30 p.m.
