Twinbill opens Ateneo Entablado’s new season | Lifestyle.INQ

OCTOBER 27, 2022

Ateneo Entablado (ENterteynment para sa TAo, Bayan, LAnsangan at DiyOs) opens its 32nd season with a summer production featuring a twinbill of plays—“Pobreng Alindanaw” by Jose Dennis Teodosio and “Sino Ba Kayo?” by Julian Cruz Balmaceda, both directed by Jerome Ignacio.

“Pobreng Alindanaw” is about one butterfly’s search for identity, and how one can overcome social constructs and impositions and conquer limitations to attain happiness.

“Sino Ba Kayo?” is also about identity—mistaken identities, that is—set in a household after World War II.

Both plays seek to highlight the tension between individualism and collective identity, and how the willingness to go out of one’s self and reach out to others can build and strengthen communities.

The twinbill runs May 8-10 and 12-17, 7 p.m. (and 3 p.m. on Saturdays), at the Black Box Theater, FA Annex, Ateneo de Manila University. For inquiries and ticket reservations, contact CJ Sabangan (0906-3370155) or visit fb.com/Enta32SummerProduction.
