MANILA, Philippines – Which country is the most starry-eyed over John Green’s “Fault in Our Stars?”

Apparently, it’s the country of three stars and the sun, the Philippines.

TIME Magazine reported that the book is most searched in Google from the Philippines, having a search volume index of 100, according to Google Data.

Philippines’ index is more than double than that of the United States, which has a 44 search index. This, despite the fact that the book’s author is an American.

The three next most obsessed countries, according to the report, are Singapore (38), Australia (37), and New Zealand (36).

The book tells the romance between cancer-stricken teenagers, who met in a cancer support group. The book was adapted to a movie, which premiered in the Philippines on June 5.

The book was also translated to Filipino by award-winning writer and gay rights activist Danton Remoto.

Romantic literature is prominent in the Philippines, particularly through inexpensive paperbacks known as “Precious Hearts Romance” books.

The books written in street-level Tagalog emerged in the early 1980s when an economic crisis forced the importers of western “chick literature” paperbacks to seek out alternatives, according to an Agence France-Presse report.
