Having fun while entertaining is always the goal. Initiate the lively mood by creating this table runner made out of dressmaker’s pattern paper. Fill them with whimsical drawings as you and your guests dine.

 

You’ll need:

 

• Dressmaker’s pattern paper
• Black marker pen (any color)

 

Fold the pattern paper lengthwise to fit the center of your table, as a runner would.

Using the marker pen, write the names of the guests at right above their place setting.

Draw whimsically, in this case, the Eiffel Tower, French words, vines and hearts.

Pass around the pen so guests can add on to what you’ve drawn.

 

Tip:

 

As a keepsake for special occasions, you may opt to use a canvas or cotton cloth and a fabric pen. Guests can write dedications or thoughts they would like the host to remember.
