Honey is very beneficial to the skin.

It works as an antioxidant, it has anti-inflammatory benefits, it speeds up healing and is moisturizing.

At home, we always have a jar of honey which I get from Ritual. It is our go-to cure for everything (including itchy throat), and it actually works.

I just saw a documentary, “The Disappearing Bees,” and it was frightening. For some reason, probably the deadly combination of pollution and pesticides, the world’s bee population has dramatically decreased, and this will have a major effect on our ecosystem.

Here are some fave beauty products that have honey; when people support these products, they end up supporting bee farmers.

Crabtree & Evelyn Citron, Honey & Coriander Skin Smoothing Body Scrub. This has light exfoliating beads that help polish and buff the skin. Its honey glycerine, pumpkins and peach oils soften and condition the skin, leaving it supple and soft to the touch.

The Body Shop Spa Wisdom Africa Honey & Beeswax Hand and Foot Butter. For those who have dry hands and feet, use this product all over your body; it helps moisturize dry and coarse skin.

Mor Cosmetics Honey Nectar Hand & Body Wash. Its yummy scent is not at all overpowering, and is, in fact, refreshing to the skin. If you love long baths, this is one product you’ll enjoy.

Lush Honey I Washed the Kids Soap. Made for kids, but this bar will be enjoyed by everyone at home.

Kiehl’s Creme de Corps Soy Milk & Honey Whipped Body Butter. Inspired by the classic and original Creme de Corps body cream, this luxurious air-whipped body butter delivers rich hydration for up to 24 hours for a wonderfully indulgent experience.

L’Occitane shea butter hand cream. This repairing hand cream is small enough to carry in the bag. It repair and relieves dry hands. I love using it before I sleep.

Burt’s Bees lip balm. Chapped or dried lips are not a problem if you have this lip balm. I use it under lipstick, too, to help make the application even.

1. Laneige BB Soothing Cushion is a new concept in BB cream. It has multi-

benefits and leaves your face with a natural, dewy finish. I especially like that it gives a refreshing feeling because of its unique hydration technology. It’s lighter than a tinted moisturiser. You forget you have something on.

2. Dior Addict Lip Glow is the best lip balm ever! It simply enhances one’s natural lip color. It reacts differently to each lip because of the chemical reaction it gives off.

3. RMS Beauty cream eyeshadow is the perfect  eyeshadow for me, plus it’s organic and free from toxic chemicals.

4. Tarte Cheek Stain in Flush. It simply slides onto your cheeks and it’s chemical-free.

5. Shu Uemura Deepsea Water Mist in Hamamelis. The light floral-tea scent energizes and moisturizes. I like how the pump gives off a fine mist rather than the usual spritz.

6. Benefit Bathina Body Balm gives a subtle sheen to your legs and arms. The scent is a light floral that lasts long and smells very fresh. I like using this on my collarbone, too, to give it a glow.

7. Toni & Guy Sea Salt Texturising Spray gives off that messy beach look to my newly cut short hair without the stickiness. I have never gone this short, and I am having fun with this spray.

8. French Sole. My favorite ballet flats from London, which I have been using since 1996. I particularly like the Low-Cut and Henrietta styles. I have tried other brands, yet I always end up with another pair of French Sole.

9. Hermès scarf. I don’t travel without one. Whether as a belt, as a top, as a knotted necklace, around a plain top, my Hermès scarf offers endless possibilities by dressing up an outfit or adding a pop of color instantly.

10. Cartier Love Bangle. Such a simple and iconic piece of jewelry, with so much sentimental value to me. I have been wearing mine for 13 years and have no plans of stacking it with the many other variations Cartier has come up with.
