Lended Learning Center is mounting the Filipino Literature Workshop for Kids, Aug. 9 to Sept. 27, 10 a.m. to 12 noon, in celebration of Buwan ng Wika.

 

It will be conducted by seasoned writer Kris Lacaba.

 

Workshop is open to children ages 9 to 16. “‘The limits of my language are the limits of my world,’ said Ludwig Wittgenstein,” Lacaba said. “So it follows that if you expand your ability to communicate then you are expanding your world.”  said Lacaba.

 

“If you’d like your children to learn Filipino and improve their communication skills in an enjoyable, creative way, then they should sign up for this workshop,” said  Zeena  Pañares, BLC director for education. “Sometimes, kids just need an artistic approach to awaken an interest or a talent. Then it will cascade to other aspects of their lives.”
