MANILA, Philippines—Victoria University of Wellington is pleased to announce that six undergraduate scholarships are available to students from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) region for 2015.

Asean Undergraduate Tuition Fees scholarships provide an opportunity for young Asean students with an excellent academic record and leadership potential to pursue undergraduate study at a top New Zealand university.

Victoria is one of New Zealand’s oldest and most prestigious universities, and has an established tradition of excellence in research-based teaching across seven faculties: Architecture and Design; Education; Engineering; Humanities and Social Sciences; Law; Science and the Victoria Business School.

The Asean Und140922_VictoriaUniversity_02ergraduate Tuition Fees scholarship is open to students from the Asean region and covers the tuition fees for the first year of study for an undergraduate degree beginning in 2015.  Applicants must be under the age of 23 on 31 December 2014 and students can begin their study at Victoria in either Trimester 1 or Trimester 2, 2015.

“Victoria has welcomed top students from the Asean region for more than 50 years, and we look forward to welcoming more students in 2015, the year in which New Zealand celebrates 40 years of diplomatic relations with the Asean region,” says Professor Roberto Rabel, Pro Vice-Chancellor International.
