MANILA, Philippines – With her marriage to Senator Francis “Chiz” Escudero a few months away, actress Heart Evangelista is making sure she takes care of herself inside and out.

“I worked on becoming a better person and nurturing what I’ve been blessed with, improving my skills and taking care of my health and beauty,” says Evangelista who has been in the
limelight since she was 13 and who has had her share of challenges both in her career and personal life.

“With my past relationships, I would do anything in the world for people to just love me,” Evangelista reflects. “My journey really hasn’t been easy,” says she.

To heal and recover, Evangelista says she surrounds herself with good people and more importantly, has learned to love herself.

“How you get that glow, even if you’re feeling super bad, it’s really just loving yourself… You have to make sure you eat the right food, work out, you protect your skin.”

Evangelista considers her relationship with Escudero the “best” she’s ever had because “he really brings out the best in me”.

Heart says with the encouragement of her fiancé and because she has learned to appreciate and love herself, Heart reveals, “He really brought out the woman in me, the woman I’m really supposed to
be.”

“They say you’re blooming when you’re in love, but I think it’s when you take care of yourself, you love yourself that you truly bloom and look your most beautiful,” she says.

Added secret behind Heart’s glow

As her wedding day approaches, Evangelista has stepped up her beauty regimen by adding a new product to her beauty kit – Pond’s Dewy Rose Gel.
