MANILA, Philippines–The Maria Clara, one of the most elegant yet practical of Filipiniana ensembles, is the star of the show in this year’s much-awaited Face-Off 2014, the annual fashion show of Inquirer Lifestyle.

To be staged with Hana Shampoo and Champion Infinity, this year’s edition of the annual fashion extravaganza, happening Monday night at the Solaire Resort & Casino, features 32 designers reinterpreting the look—hence the title “Face-Off 2014: The Masters and the Millennials,” with the 18 “masters” being veteran designers, and the 14 “millennials,” younger talents in the field.

The masters are Albert Andrada, Barba, JC Buendia, Auggie Cordero, Ito Curata, Rhett Eala, Cesar Gaupo, Oj Hofer, Rajo Laurel, Jojie Lloren, Loretto, Dennis Lustico, Efren Ocampo, Randy Ortiz, Philip Rodriguez, Mike de la Rosa, Cary Santiago and Lulu Tan Gan.

The millennials are Edwin Ao, Jerome Salaya Ang, Ivarluski Aseron, Pablo Cabahug, Louis Claparols, Eric de los Santos, Maureen Disini, Jun Escario, Sassa Jimenez, Francis Libiran, Yvonne Quisumbing, James Reyes, Vania Romoff and Joey Samson.

Leading fashion show directors Jackie Aquino and Robby Carmona will be directing the masters and the millennials, respectively.

Face-Off 2014 is staged in cooperation with O+USA, Solaire, LOOK magazine, HIP Inquirer, and Max Factor.
