The Philippine Daily Inquirer is celebrating its 29 years of service to the Filipino readers with the theme: Digital First while Print Surprises! As a way of thanking its loyal readers, the Inquirer together with Inquirer Mobile and INQUIRER.net has launched Snap, Tap and Text: The PDI 29 Anniversary Promo.

One lucky winner will get a brand new Kia Rio 1.4 EX AT HB. Other prizes include ten (10) 32″ Devant SMART LED TV STV700, twenty-nine (29) Gift Certificates from Buddha Bar worth PhP 4,000.00 each and twenty-nine (29) Gift Certificates from Swatch worth PhP 4,000.00 each. Inquirer will also be giving away twenty-nine (29) three-month subscription to Inquirer Plus (the digital edition of Inquirer) and twenty-nine (29) exclusive Inquirer T-shirts.

This endeavour highlights the integration of the broadsheet with digital technology with the use of the Inquirer Mobile App. The Inquirer Mobile App can be downloaded from the Apple App store or Google Play to see the news in print come to life. Using the INQSNAP feature of the mobile app, the reader can scan the pages of Inquirer to get an access to additional photos of the news, videos, and connect to related websites. News articles can also be shared via social media by using INQSNAP.

To earn an entry to the promo, the reader can snap any news article with the INQSNAP logo. Readers can also double up their entries by snapping the whole image of any of the participating sponsor ads. The reader will then be asked to fill out a registration form.

Another way to earn an entry is by tapping the Snap, Tap, and Text, promo banner ads found in the news articles inside the Inquirer Mobile App.

Lastly, the reader may also collect and text the unique codes found in the Snap Tap Text logos on participating sponsor print ads. The reader simply needs to key in INQ29 (space) CODE and send to 4467 (i.e. INQ29 ABC123). The reader will then be asked to register once by texting INQ29 (space) REG (space) NAME/GENDER/AGE/ADDRESS/EMAIL ADD, i.e. INQ29 (space) REG (space) Juan dela Cruz/M/26/Makati/j[email protected] to 4467. Each entry will be charged PhP2.50 for Globe Telecom, SMART, and Talk N’Text, and PhP2.00 for Sun.
