Homeless bodybuilder works out in streets of Paris to stay fit | Lifestyle.INQ

MANILA, Philippines—Now, you do not have an excuse to hit the gym.

A 50-year-old homeless man keeps his bodybuilder physique by working out in his home, which is a cold street in the French capital Paris.

In a video directed by Julien Goudichaud, which has since gone viral on YouTube, Jacques Sayagh did not let being poor show on his body as he performed push-ups on the pavement, pull-ups on a lamppost, and bicep curls with bungee ropes.

Sayagh said that he prefers staying in the pavement than living in a small apartment.

“I don’t want to live in a small apartment. People do not understand why I sleep on the floor but I never feel cold,” Sayagh said.

He said that aside from doing his daily exercise routine, he also runs and does martial arts such as karate and judo.

He said that he wants to emulate bodybuilders, saying that they are “futurists.”

“Bodybuilders are futurists, they dare everything, That’s a world I like,” the man added.

In the video, Sayagh is seen living with a dog and asking alms to buy food and protein powder.

Asked on why he continues to stay fit, Sayagh said that he wants his grandchildren to be proud of him.

“I have grandchildren. I don’t want them to think that their grandfather is an a**hole. I want them be proud of me, that’s all I want,” he ended.

Sayagh’s video has already been viewed 1,543,503 times.
