Powerbooks and National Book Store have launched three new brands just in time for the holidays: Kate Spade, Jonathan Adler and Ban.do.

Xandra Ramos-Padilla, National Book Store’s managing director who is always searching for new products and brands to bring to the shelves, said, “We saw these brands in a stationery fair and knew instantly that we wanted to bring them in. Each brand has its own personality.”

Kate Spade New York’s stationery and lifestyle collection includes playful pieces with the brand’s signature prints and bright punches of color—polka dots, bows and stripes abound. There are note card sets, journals, notebooks, pens, tumblers, pouches, luggage tags, umbrellas, paper clips, push pins, picture frames and more.

Padilla said, “Kate Spade is very chic but quirky. The journals have fun sayings on the cover, and I love the stamper. I love the acrylic office supplies, too—the pencil holder, stapler and tape dispenser.”

Jonathan Adler’s designs also find a home in National Book Store and Powerbooks. Journals, iPhone covers, earphones, travel pillows, umbrellas, notebooks, flash drives and more come in his timeless prints. “Jonathan Adler has great patterns and designs. I love prints. I really like the journals,” said Padilla.

Los Angeles-based Ban.do is a fun gift and accessories brand. “It’s a more affordable young line. I think the market is ready for their cute stuff,” Padilla added.

Standouts include the Hooray Hooray tote bag, the Stay Focused pouch, the adorable iPhone cases and the I Am Very Busy accessories.

Kate Spade, Jonathan Adler and Ban.do are available at Powerbooks Greenbelt 4, Alabang Town Center, Megamall and TriNoma, and at National Book Store Rockwell, Shangri-La Plaza and Glorietta 1—good news for last-minute Christmas shoppers.

“If you can’t think of what to give someone, these brands offer great gift ideas,” said Xandra.
