The year about to end has seen top cosmetic and fashion brands updating themselves through collaborations with designers.

MAC Cosmetics and Prabal Gurung’s team-up yielded a glamorous collection that I truly enjoyed. The line is especially noted for its ultra-luxurious custom gold packaging that is nice to pull out of my purse when I need to retouch my face.

I likewise enjoyed Shu Uemura’s collab with Karl Lagerfeld, specifically Mon Shu. In fact, I keep all its cases and refill them when my eye shadow palette or blush runs out.

The latest Shu Uemura-Lagerfeld collection is inspired by the designer’s cat,

Choupette. It was launched as Shupette. With it, my addiction to collaborations has hit an all-time high.

Anyway, MAC and Shu Uemura are both my fave top cosmetic brands so the cute packaging is really just a bonus.

The flagship store of luxury eyewear brand Linda Farrow is now open at City of Dreams. Innovation characterizes the brand. It has pioneered many shapes and styles that remain relevant and stylish. To this day, it hasn’t stopped pushing the boundaries in eyewear design.

To keep the brand stylish and cutting-edge, Linda Farrow has pushed for collaborations.

Since 2003 when the brand was relaunched, it has worked together with renowned designers such as Dries Van Noten, Oscar de la Renta, Alexander Wang, The Row, Agent Provocateur, Matthew Williamson and Kris van Assche.

Everyone should have a pair of good sunglasses. And when I say good, I mean lenses that will block UVA/UVB rays. Women should use good skincare products and the same is true when it comes to shades. You just really need one, and this brand is one to check out.

Why are shades important? Not only are they fashionable, they also stop eye-squinting, which leads to crow’s feet and wrinkles. The sun’s harmful rays also lead to sunspots that require laser treatment for removal.

I think women in Hollywood have got it right. Since one can’t possibly wear makeup all the time, shades are the perfect one-minute beauty accessory fix that will keep one stylish and protected from the sun. This 2015, add ultra-luxurious Linda Farrow shades to your must-have list.
