Singer Christian Bautista is an astute businessman, one who knows when to save, invest or splurge. The fact that he is Watsons’ newest endorser for its Switch and Save campaign is a coincidence not lost on the brand.

When he was first starting out in the industry, Bautista wanted to mark his initial success with something tangible.

Delayed gratification

“I wanted to buy a sports car but my ninong (godfather) came up to me and told me not to buy it. ‘Buy the 14-unit apartment that was foreclosed by the bank,’ he said. That’s what I did, and now I have two businesses. I guess I imbibed the importance of investing from my elders,” he said.
Bautista recently said he enjoyed shopping at Watsons because of its convenience. “The store layout is very organized so it’s easy to find whatever you’re looking for and, of course, it always has those great deals on the products I often buy.”
He may have learned from his elders to live within his means, but he knows a good deal when he sees one.
