FUSS-free, stylish pieces for little ones from the top looks of the season

A sartorial affair featuring the season’s most refreshing and stylish looks marked Shangri-La Plaza’s Sweet Summer Fashion Show, where the mall’s top kids’ and teens’ brands presented an array of summer wear.

Held at the mall’s East Atrium, the event was a two-part show. The kids’ show dubbed “Sweet Surprise” and the teens’ show entitled “Doux Chateau” (Sweet Castle) both paraded different collections.

The kids’ flavor-inspired show kicked off with Naughty Nutty, which featured breezy nautical looks that take off from the love of the sea. Attractive patterns and florals made up the Sweetened Pattern segment, the designs spicing up tops, bottoms and dresses.

There was also Honey Revel, which added a dash of action and adventure with sporty pieces; and Tutti Fruity, which livened up the show with color blocking. The kids’ segment was capped by Unfussy Toffee, which showcased fuss-free, easy-to-wear looks.

In the teens’ Doux Chateau, another sweet style journey ensued with Savory Shores’ nautical-inspired pieces.

Holiday Decaf epitomized chic and cool, with on-trend casual wear. Fashionable looks for sports and the outdoors ruled the Jelly Jungle Brulee collection, while color blocking went big with Rainbow Torte.

Finally, a pattern and graphic print party filled Palooza Pies.

Participating brands for kids were Arena, Barbie, Gap Kids, Gingersnaps, Guess Kids, Justice, Kidsports, Mothercare, Ogalala, Old Navy, Osh Kosh B’Gosh, Peppermint, Periwinkle, PJ’s Sleepwear, Pois Belly & Kids, Rustan’s Department Store, and Twilo.

The teens’ show included pieces from Bench, Camaieu, Converse, Debenhams, G Force, Guess, Kashieca, Memo, Miss Selfridge, Penshoppe, Regatta, Rustan’s Department Store, Shana, Stradivarius, The Flower Collection, Topman, Topshop and Una Rosa.

The fashion show also coincided with the mall’s Desserts Fair, an appetizing gathering of popular desserts brands at the Shang.

“The Sweet Summer Fashion Show is the Shang’s way to let young fashionistas in on the hottest trends this season,” says Shangri-La Plaza executive vice president and general manager Lala Fojas.
