TOPSHOP is excited to announce the KENDALL + KYLIE collection will be available exclusively at TOPSHOP stores worldwide and on TOPSHOP.COM from June 2015.

Designed by sisters Kendall and Kylie Jenner, the collection presents a youthful, contemporary capsule summer wardrobe, characterized by the girls’ LA lifestyle and their modern, eclectic design aesthetic. Showcasing their two distinct styles, the collection combines Kendall and Kylie’s unique fashion sense with premium fabrics and modern silhouettes, to create a range of essential summer pieces.

The collection comprises vintage shapes in Hawaiian prints and bold slogan jerseys that sit alongside distressed denim and blouson tops. Sophisticated, sleek duster coats, sheer wide leg trousers and layered maxi dresses complete the look.

What was the inspiration behind the line?

KE: We’re trying to bring the LA vibe to Topshops all over the world. We were thinking about the LA girl, who she is, what she loves to do and what her dream capsule wardrobe would be. There are lots of lighter shades and florals that give that sunshine feel.

What’s your favourite piece from the collection?

KY: My favourite piece is the grey crew neck sweater that says “When in Doubt, Vacation” That’s our motto!
KE: I really like the wide-legged black pants that are see-through. I’d probably wear them with a knotted up t-shirt and some strappy heels.

Talk us through the design process?

KE: It was very natural. We would see things online or in person, someone’s style that we loved, or key designs spotted but wanted to make it ours in some way or another. We collated all of our ideas, used those references and worked with the design team to make it real. We came to Topshop, who loved it and it’s just gone from there.

Do you think anyone from your family would wear the collection and if so, who and what?

KY: Our family love supporting us and wearing all our stuff. Khloe would love the jean shorts.
KE: Kourtney would definitely wear our short little black romper.
KY: Kim is simple.
KE: Yeah, she would keep it pared back with our wide black pants.

Do you fight over clothes?

KE: We definitely fight over clothes. You just missed us fighting! It’s much easier for me to steal from her now because I live in my own house so it’s all locked up and I never let her in if I’m not there. But Kylie’s clothes are all at my mom’s house so I can freely walk in at anytime and take whatever I see. I usually just steal whatever’s new and cool that she has!

How does your style differ from one another?

KY: Kendall has more of that off-duty model style. She’s simple and casual. I’m more of the type that would wear a dress and heels to breakfast. I’m a bit edgier and like darker colours. Generally though, we like a lot of the same things.

What do you love about Topshop?

KE: I just love Topshop. When Topshop opened in our local shopping centre, the Grove, it was total madness. Everyone was dying to go to Topshop and you’d ask anyone wearing anything cool, “where did you get that?!” And it was always “Topshop!” It was a total fashion frenzy. So to be involved with the brand is an absolute honour. It’s very cool.

Why did you choose Topshop to work with?

KE: We’ve always loved them as a brand and the collection itself seemed like a perfect fit. It was also about bringing a little LA style to London and this iconic British brand.
