“Metro Dental aims to turn the Philippines into a cavity-free nation and its regional expansion to Cebu is a step to make this happen,” said Gan.

Unveiled during the launch was “Cebu Smiles,” a photo exhibit by much-sought-after photographer Xander Angeles profiling the dazzling smiles of Cebu’s elite and distinguished personalities.

“Cebu Smiles is an exhibit highlighting the beautiful smiles of the city’s pride,” said Gan. “It aims to serve as an inspiration to Filipinos to take care of their dental health and home to dental technologies that redefine oral healthcare in the Philippines.”

HSBC conversations

HSBC president and CEO Tony Cripps held the bank’s first Market Conversation and Cocktails for a très chosen group of HSBC Premier customers at his swanky South Forbes Park home.

The happening started off with delectable pan-Asian nibbles, such as crispy shells with roasted duck filling, succulent prawn rolls in Thai chili dip, and the superb lemongrass crème brulee, dahlings.

Cripps gave a short economic briefing that covered Asia’s key markets, as well as the HSBC outlook for the Philippines.

Cliff Cabungcal, HSBC VP for wealth management and product development, then talked about the bank’s newest product for its Premier customers, the Premium Currency Plus, “a product that offers potentially higher returns for investors willing to take on more risk.”

Before coming to the Philippines, Cripps was HSBC’s managing director and head of global markets in Australia. He was also HSBC’s Asia-Pacific head of foreign exchange and rates strategy in the late ’90s.

Après that Tony assured the invitees that given the overwhelmingly positive feedback, Market Conversation would be a regular event for HSBC’s most valued Premier clients.

“With this event, we hope to provide our clients with a highly informative, as well as enjoyable, evening,” Cripps said.
