The Japan Information and Culture Center (JICC), in cooperation with the National Youth Commission (NYC), is now accepting entries for the Asian International Children’s Film Festival 2015.

The Asian International Children’s Film Festival was launched to serve as a platform for cultural exchange and artistic expression among young filmmakers in Asia. This initiative allows them to share their thoughts on certain universal topics through short films. This year, the festival’s theme is “What Makes Me Happy.”

This competition is open to currently enrolled high school students, except those who have already been to Japan as participants to previous Asian International Children’s Film Festivals.
To enter the competition, students must submit a three-minute video that creatively and effectively interprets the aforementioned theme. Official guidelines and entry forms for this contest can be downloaded from the Embassy of Japan website, www.ph.emb-japan.go.jp.

Deadline for submission of entries is on September 11, 2015.

The top three finalists from the Philippines will compete in the international leg of the competition to be held on November 28 in Japan. All expenses incurred in relation to this event will be borne by the Government of Japan through the JENESYS2015 Programme.
The JENESYS2015 Programme aims to strengthen unity and promote goodwill among the youths of Asia by facilitating various cultural and academic exchanges.
