Reigning Miss Universe Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach has personally thanked her supporters after the official Miss Universe Facebook page reached 5 million likes.
In a video posted on Wednesday, Wurtzbach said the online support she has been getting from fans was “insane.”
“Hello, everyone. I just finished getting ready for work, and I checked the Miss Universe Facebook account, and there are 5 million likes. That’s insane. Thank you for the love, guys,” Wurtzbach said.
As of writing, Wurtzbach’s video has garnered more than 454,000 views, 57,329 reactions, and 768 shares. The Miss Universe Facebook page, meanwhile, has more than 5.1 million likes.
The social media pages of the Miss Universe pageant now contain information and updates on the activities of Wurtzbach, who was crowned winner of the prestigious beauty contest last December. YG/JE
