First in fashion: ETC exclusively airs PH Fashion Week this July | Lifestyle.INQ

OCTOBER 27, 2022

In the Philippines, ETC is the go-to channel for today’s stylish Filipinas. The channel continues to give a fresh fix of the hottest programs straight from the US. Through local productions like Etcetera and Project Runway Philippines, the viewers received homegrown entertainment tailor-made for the stylish Filipino youth.

This year, Solar Entertainment’s President Wilson Tieng signs ETC as the Presenting Sponsor of Philippine Fashion Week. Now on its 20th year, it is known to be the longest running fashion event in the country and the largest fashion event held in Manila, founded by Joey A. Espino Jr. and Audie Espino in 1997. In this collaboration, ETC has positioned itself as the exclusive network of all Philippine Fashion Week’s on-air content, including individual feature episode of the designers which premieres on July 3. ETC and Philippine Fashion Week also trains the spotlight on the collection of Project Runway Philippines Season 4 runners-up Celine Borromeo and Jared Servano.

Servano is a local designer from Koronadal City who ventures into the city to make it big, vowing to come back and help his chosen indigenous tribes and make his family proud. Although he is penetrating the fashion industry late into his life by placing second at Project Runway, his designs employ a fresh approach to make ethnic materials modern. From using materials native to the B’laan and T’boli tribes, he creates luxury eveningwear that wowed even the designers of London. Let’s walk with him as he creates masterpieces from scratch—from Mindanao to London, and now, to the ramps of Philippine Fashion Week.

The go-getter Borromeo has been eager to turn her passion into profession, so she took up Fashion Design in College. Auditions for the fourth season of Project Runway in her hometown of Cebu made her jump at the opportunity to start making a name for herself. After winning 3rd place in Project Runway, she has found her identity as a designer and is now taking the next big step in her career—joining Philippine Fashion Week. She is definitely on the right track in fulfilling her dream of being a renowned designer.

Us here on ETC are all excited for you to watch it, too! So, stay tuned!
