Big discounts are being offered at the Travel Madness Expo until today, July 10, at the SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia complex.

 

Singapore Airlines and MasterCard, together with SilkAir, are simultaneously holding a nationwide Mid-Year Travel Fair until July 31. Throughout this period, MasterCard holders who are also KrisFlyer (krisflyer.com) members can avail of special promotional deals and a chance to win a trip to Germany or South Africa.

 

The airline is offering all-inclusive, round-trip promotional fares starting at $180 for travel out of Manila, Cebu, Davao and Kalibo during this period. All-in economy fares to Singapore are available from $180, while tickets to Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam and Hong Kong are available starting at $230 and to Cambodia and Myanmar from $250. Japan and South Korea fares start at $450.

 

Flights to Dubai or Australia go for as low as $600; round-trip tickets to India, Maldives, Nepal and Sri Lanka are priced from $650; and flights to Europe or South Africa start from $850.

 

Round-trip economy flights to New Zealand (Auckland, Christchurch, Wellington) or the United States start at $950.

 

There are also options for travel on Premium Economy and Business Class. Travelers can book flights online (singaporeair.com) using their MasterCard credit card for Economy Class and one-to-go Business Class. The promo code will be announced on the Singapore Airlines Facebook page.

 

MasterCard cardholders and KrisFlyer members who purchase promotional tickets have a chance to win a pair of Business Class tickets to Dusseldorf, Germany, with MasterCard’s Priceless Package, or a pair of Premium Economy Class tickets to Cape Town, South Africa, with MasterCard’s Priceless Package.

 

The airline will commence flights to Dusseldorf on July 21.

 

One of the unique perks onboard the Airbus A350-900 is the “Companion App,” which is the first of its kind in the world. The mobile app available across all cabins gives passengers a chance to customize their entertainment experience even before they board the flight.

 

Once passengers are seated, they can connect their mobile phone or tablet to the plane’s IFE system that will automatically play their song and video choices during the flight.

 

 

On Oct. 23, the airline’s A350 will also commence nonstop flights between Singapore and San Francisco on a daily basis. Alongside this launch, the airline will also be adding a second daily flight to Los Angeles.
