Raffles Makati and Tiffany & Co. collaborate on a wedding event—titled “Will You?”—on July 29-30 for would-be couples.

 

The two-day affair is by-invitation only.

 

A Bridal Afternoon Tea will be offered to couples who purchase a classic Tiffany Setting engagement ring and a Raffles Bridal Package available from Aug. 1-Sept. 30.

 

The couple can invite eight guests to the “Will You?” Bridal Afternoon Tea of savory treats and freshly baked scones served with champagne.

 

Tiffany & Co. celebrates the 130th anniversary of its classic Tiffany Setting engagement ring this year, while Raffles Makati launches its elegant bridal packages.

 

Raffles is known for its heritage and elegance. The hotel chain has a storied history, with its first property having opened over a century ago.

 

Three Bridal Packages have three types to choose from: Classic, Deluxe and Prestige.

 

A wedding at Raffles Makati incorporates pre-wedding preparations, from food tasting to overnight stays to photo shoots.

 

On the big day, a Raffles wedding reception package includes the bridal car, floral arrangements, stage design, string quartet, photo booth, dedicated butler, special wedding cake and indoor confetti, among other interesting  amenities.

In 1886, Charles Lewis Tiffany introduced the Tiffany Setting to glorify the solitaire diamond, a symbol of everlasting love.

 

The groundbreaking design had six prongs lifting a round diamond above a slender gold band. It put the beautiful diamonds Tiffany had become famous for on a pedestal and let them shine.

 

Light could literally pass between the ring prongs and through the diamond, heightening its brilliance.

 

This elegant innovation was a departure from other engagement rings that held a stone close to the band.

 

Tiffany became the first jeweler to create a signature engagement ring. An instant success, the Tiffany Setting has remained the iconic celebration of love for 130 years.
