Travel adventures have been the inspiration of Char Carlos and Leona Panutat in selecting their artisanal finds for L’Indochine stores.
L’Indochine has become known for eclectic modern Asian finds and interiors. These include fashion items, furniture and home accents handmade by artisans from Sri Lanka, Thailand, Vietnam and other Asian countries.
C&L, as they like to be called, are also looking at local artists, designers, and artisans for new products.
The latest of these is Little Luli X My Little Globetrotters, stylish, functional clothes for babies and kids recently launched at L’Indochine store at SM Megamall.
The brand brings together two young moms, Lucien Lao Villaruz and Monica Manzano, who share C&L’s passion for traveling. When they are traveling with their kids, they like to let them play, explore and be adventurers.
Lucien is the founder of Little Luli, a line of comfortable, stylish clothes for babies and kids. Monica is known for her travel blog My Little Globetrotters, which documents her travels with her family.
Both hands-on moms, they have similar parenting styles, and prefer to take their kids everywhere with them. They decided to create clothes for “kids on the go,” clothes for kids who want to feel at ease when at play.
C&L met Lucien in one of L’Indochine’s workshops. “We’re big fans of her children’s line, and when we found out that she was collaborating with Monica, we knew we wanted the collection in our stores right away,” they say.
For the collection, Lucien designed reversible dresses with two different looks— plain on one side and printed on the other. There are crop tops and pants sets, chambray shorts and super soft tees, some in wash and wear fabrics.
The collection incorporates Little Luli’s brand philosophy—comfortable clothing with looser cuts that can grow with the kids, as well as details like big buttons, exposed zippers, pockets and tassels.
The Little Luli X My Little Globetrotters collection is at L’Indochine SM Mega Fashion Hall at SM Aura Premier.
