Metallic colors have always been associated with elegance and contemporary design. You need not go out and purchase new accessories with this simple craft idea. You can finally use those empty sardine or jam bottles that just add to your carbon footprint by painting them in the metallic color that strikes your fancy.

Here’s what we used:

Old sardine and jam bottles or mason jars

Metallic spray paint in can (sold at hardware stores like Wilcon)

1) Wash and dry bottles thoroughly.

2) Place old newspapers or cardboard underneath before spraying to protect your table or floor.

3) Following paint instructions, spray the bottles evenly and let dry.

Tip: Pretty up your dressing table—these make great holders for makeup brushes, pens and almost anything else.

ALL you need are used or mason jars and some metallic spray paint.
