The Pacific Asia Travel Association (Pata) Philippines Chapter will host the third edition of its highly successful Pinoy Chikka Travel Forum with this year’s theme, Global Trends and Challenges.

Set for Aug. 23, 9 a.m.  at  Plenary Hall, PICC, this milestone tourism event will  again have a stellar lineup of experts, this time from the international scene.

Known as a business growth and operational management specialist, Tim Wade, chief executive officer of Wade Pte. Ltd. in Singapore, will  talk on  “A Changing World and the Coming Wave of Opportunity.”

Leslie Choudhury, a marketing and communications guru who is also CEO of his eponymous Singapore firm,  will share his expertise in the talk “Innovative Storytelling, A Major Component in Destination Marketing.”

Joining them from the local scene is advertising and marketing specialist Eduardo Mapa Jr. The CEO of Digital Arts Network will discuss “The Digitalization of the Travel Industry.”

Pata, the biggest travel organization in the world, was founded in Hawaii in 1951 and counts over 40,000 members from governments, destinations, transport groups, hotels, tour operators, travel agencies, educational institutions, financial and consultancy services and media.

Its mission is to enhance, encourage and support the growth, value and quality of travel and tourism in the Asia Pacific. The Philippine chapter helps translate these global objectives in the local travel and hospitality industry.

Tickets to this event include a certificate of attendance and a raffle stub which could win  airline, hotel and restaurant prizes.
