Display your collectibles on repurposed shelves | Lifestyle.INQ

OCTOBER 27, 2022

NICE patterned paper can serve as your “wallpaper.”

THERE are shelves, and there are shelves. There are so many ways to display collectibles or store items, but we always strive for something unique, creative and environment-friendly.

Here’s a cool idea we came up with that might get you into a DIY frenzy—shelves made of old drawers for a cubbyhole effect that draws the eye to look closely at what lies inside!

What you’ll need:

Drawer from an old chest or armoire

Patterned paper, wrapping paper

Double-sided tape

Scissors

Directions: Measure the back panel of your drawer. Cut your patterned paper to size.

Using double-sided tape, stick the paper on the back panel of your drawer. This will serve as a “wallpaper” or backdrop.

Arrange your collectibles within the space.

You can either hang the drawer or just let it stand on a table or mantle.

Gathering old drawers and using them as display cubbyholes filled with different vignettes can make quite an interesting collection in itself!
