Fila, the globally renowned lifestyle apparel brand, held a whopping “Fila Game Changers Listening Party” in mid-October, palangga, at The Brewery at The Palace with the live performance of Abra.

The bash brought the squad of game changers and the brand’s fans together to celebrate the brand’s new song, “Change the Game.” Originally sung by the fast rising global rapper Cogeta, the music video was shot in LA with scenes of people in the streets playing basketball, biking and skateboarding on various ramps.

“The vibe, the environment, the people. It’s hip, it’s cool… It’s the place where dreams seem within reach,” said gorgeous, hardworking visionary and charity-oriented Cris Albert, Fila president-CEO and owner, no less. “That’s the game changer mind-set, and that’s what Fila wants their consumers to feel.”

The LA vibe track was brought to life during the event with Philippine “rap royalty” Abra who performed his own rendition of the Fila song for the over 200 who attended. “Nothing’s gonna stop me now. The world is our playground. Nothing can drop me down. Let’s go change the game now!”

Hosts Tim Yap, young actress Sarah Carlos, and my favorite traffic stopper, Tessa

Prieto-Valdes were joined by Fila ambassadors like model and host Fabio Ide and those hunky Division 1 Rugby Champions of Asia, the Philippine Volcanoes, who are all excelling in their own passions.

“We have gathered so many game changers under one roof!” Cris Albert said. “Fila beams with pride for bringing together all these passionate people to launch the new Fila anthem ‘Change the Game’ that is truly all about working hard but playing even harder.”

SM style icon

International lifestyle blogger Aimee Song greeted the guests with joy and enthusiasm at SM Makati. She jetted into town to talk about her partnership with SM Makati as its newest style icon for its “Style Up” campaign, which encourages women and Filipinos in general to level up their personal styles.

With an Instagram following of an amazing 3.6 million and counting, palangga, Aimee stands out from today’s young influencers because of her accessible but aspirational sense of style. She is, take note, part of Forbes’ “30 Under 30” list for 2016, has been featured in publications such as The New York Times, Women’s Wear Daily, Vogue Spain, plus others. She has even guest edited Korean Vogue, and is always seated front row at the most exclusive fashion events.

Aimee began blogging while studying Interior Architecture in the Academy of Art University, with the original intent of focusing on interior design. But when her outfit posts received an overwhelmingly positive response, she quickly switched to doing a style blog.

The très exclusive event was hosted by Joey Mead, and attended by popular Filipino fashion bloggers including Tricia Gosingtian, Patricia Prieto, Laureen Uy and Camille Co.

Circulating in the crowd were SM Youth Ambassador Janna Tee and model Brent Javier. Bloggers had the chance to ask Aimee some questions about blogging, traveling  and even about her upcoming book entitled “Capture Your Style.”

Aimee did not only give tips, but also inspired her fellow bloggers and blogger hopefuls. “You have to try and be yourself, find your own voice instead of trying to be somebody else,” she said, which she together with SM Makati Style Up has already done. Great advice from from a young, ambitious mind. Go girl!!
