For the holidays, British brand Joseph launches its 2016 Autumn-Winter Collection, and opens its second store in the Philippines, at the exclusive S Maison at Conrad Manila.

 

Opening at SM Aura Premier Mall in late 2014, Joseph continues its global expansion. Joseph Conrad opens with the A/W 2016 Collection, as seen on-schedule at London Fashion Week, and will offer a wide assortment of Joseph Women’s Ready-to-Wear Collections.

 

The new store spans over 150 square meters, in line with the global store design concept. Situated in a modern eight-story structure, the new S Maison complex houses three state-of-the-art cinemas, gourmet restaurants including a skydeck eatery, and a luxurious spa.

 

Joseph at Conrad Manila reflects the British brand’s core sensibilities. Designed with Sybarite Architects, the store highlights the collection on display, with its clean lines, contrasting furnishings and a monochromatic color palette, contrasting marble and glasswork alongside softer elements such as leather and felt.

 

Motifs of freedom—a bird, an eye, a hand—are knitted into sweaters; badges and patches are sewn randomly onto garments, unique personality pieces are layered, and patent leather corsets are fastened over shaved shearling jackets.

 

British-made jacquards are cut on the reverse to expose floating threads. Unexpected details run through the collection: Knitwear is over-sewn with heavy yarn; garments are turned inside out to expose raw seams; trousers are laced up. Buttons are intentionally mismatched.
