LAPU-LAPU CITY, Cebu—If there is something Miss Universe candidates love about Cebu, it is the mango.

Five candidates expressed their love for Cebu mangoes during a news conference at the JPark Island Resort and Waterpark in Lapu-Lapu on Tuesday.

Representatives from Indonesia, Malaysia, Korea, Japan and Myanmar said they enjoyed their lunch especially with Cebu’s sweet mangoes.

The candidates arrived in Cebu early Monday morning for a scheduled tour around Cebu.

Among the sites they would visit were Magellan’s Cross, and the Basilica Minore del Santo Niño in Cebu City.

Another batch of Miss Universe candidates is holding a press conference at 2 p.m. today (Tuesday, Dec. 13) also at JPark Island Resort and Waterpark Cebu.

They will go to Oslob town, Cebu, for whale-watching, according to the organizers

The JPark Island Resort and Waterpark Cebu will be the venue for Miss Universe swimwear presentation on Jan. 17, 2017.  SFM
