Vivo officially unveiled its flagship phone, the Vivo V5 Plus, last Saturday, January 21, at the SM Mall of Asia. The phone aims to deliver the perfect selfie with its 20-megapixel dual front-facing camera—a first for any mobile phone.

The V5 Plus smartphone will make life easier for the selfie-obsessed , thanks to features like the Bokeh Effect—a background-blurring photography filter—as well as the Face Beauty and Selfie Soft Light Effect, which ensure radiant selfies even in poor lighting conditions, eliminating the need for editing or post-processing.

Star-studded lineup

The launch was hosted by Magic 89.9’s DJ Nikko Ramos and capped with performances from teen boyband idols James Ryan and Tony Labrusca as well as a dazzling solo number from singer KZ Tandingan. Meanwhile, a Perfect Selfie Fashion Show saw models playfully demonstrating the Vivo V5 Plus on the runway.
