The representative of Bulgaria in the recently concluded Miss Universe pageant on Monday said she wanted to give away the gown that she wore during the opening of the preliminary competition to a Filipino fan.

“To my Filipino friends, I would like to give as present my Miss Universe gown to one of you that really want and need it. I want to give the dress to a girl in need that can’t buy a dress for her prom the next month,” Violina Ancheva wrote on her Facebook account.

“Please write me a personal message for details. I am leaving soon, so please hurry up,” she said.

As of writing, Miss Bulgaria’s post has garnered almost 20,000 shares and 115,000 reactions on Facebook.

Most Miss Universe candidates are set to leave the country after Monday’s pageant, which crowned Iris Mittenaere of France as new titleholder.

In the 2015 pageant, another representative of Bulgaria, Radostina “Joy” Todorova, earned praises from Filipino netizens as “bestie of the year,” when she encouraged Pia Wurtzbach to go get the crown after Steve Harvey corrected his mistake of announcing the Filipina as first runner up. YG/IDL
