The night after winning the pageant, newly crowned Miss Universe Iris Mittenaere had a nightmare that she did not actually won the coveted crown.

“The first night I had nightmare that it was mistake and I was not Miss Universe and when I woke up I was looking around me and I saw the crown and I say, ‘OK, I’m Miss Universe.’ No mistake this year,” the beauty queen from France said in an interview with Associated Press before breaking into a laugh.

In last year’s mix-up, Miss Universe host Steve Harvey mistakenly announced Ariadna Gutierrez of Colombia as 2015 titleholder and the Philippines’ Pia Wurtzbach as runner-up.

Mittenaere, who bested 85 other candidates in this year’s pageant in Manila, said it was “crazy” to receive a lot of congratulatory messages from fans on social media.

“I have a lot of messages. Too lot. Too much. I cannot answer everybody but it’s so—it’s like an honor because a lot of people send me congratulation and I cannot answer but I really appreciate this and even on the social media everybody send me messages and it’s crazy because I feel so loved by the people and I feel so honored to be loved like this,” she said.

Asked which celebrities she would like to meet during her reign, the dental surgery student named the likes of Beyonce, Miranda Kerr and Kate Middleton.

“I want to meet a lot of people. I really like Miranda Kerr. I really like Beyonce (laughs) like everybody. And I really like Kate Middleton. She’s not here (in New York) but maybe one year I can meet her because every year I say, ‘I want to meet Kate Middleton’ but this is a dream and sometimes dreams just have to stay dreams,” she added.
