Is she or isn’t she? Miss Universe 2016 Iris Mittenaere has finally answered rumors that she is in a “lesbian” relationship.
In a recent GMA News report, the French beauty shed light over the issues coming about her and fellow beauty queen Camille Cerf after numerous photos of them together spurred online speculations that she might just be the first ever gay Miss Universe.
“Camille is my best friend and I love my boyfriend Matthieu,” she told GMA News. “I really love her, but I am not with her. She is not my girlfriend.”
The newly crowned Miss Universe’s boyfriend, Matthieu Declercq, was in Manila, where the latest edition of the pageant was held last Jan. 30, to personally support her.
Mittenaere and Declerq share the same interest, dentistry.
Mittenaere, 24, is the second Miss Universe from France. She ended her country’s 64-year Miss Universe title drought and is now officially on duty with the Miss Universe organization.
