Admit it – when going for our holiday travel goals, most people just want some peace and quiet, and some well-deserved rest and relaxation, all while getting our hard-earned money’s worth.

However, it’s really hard to find solitude as most beaches get packed with sometimes rowdy and irritating party-goers, which makes it impossible to catch some much-needed alone time.

Lo and behold, online marketplace Airbnb has found a solution to such dilemma, as they are offering an entire island for rent.

Vacationers looking for some privacy can now rent Bird Island, an atoll off the banks of Placencia, Belize, for  $495 (almost P25,000) per night, according to travelandleisure.com.

For a minimum of three nights, four people can enjoy top-notch accommodation, which includes a swanky beach house with three bedrooms and four beds in total.

Apart from the private island, guests will also be given tours of the best snorkeling and fishing spots in Belize. They will also have access to a kitchen for preparing an island picnic.

Other inclusions are transportation to and from the island with Placencia as take off point, local phone and Wi-Fi, two kayaks and access to a lookout tower and sundeck.

When the seclusion gets to you, making you miss civilization, the town of Placencia is just a 20-minute boat trip away.

Interested vacationers, however, will have to wait a year to get their reservations, as Bird Island is currently booked until June of 2018. Khristian Ibarrola
