A West Coast outpost of the Museum of Ice Cream pop-up is coming to Los Angeles.

After a wildly popular month-long run in New York last summer, the made-for-Instagram pop-up installation will be setting up its ice cream shop in L.A. next month, this time in a space that will be four times larger than the original New York event, and for nearly double the cost.

When the Museum of Ice Cream opened in the Big Apple last summer, all 30,000 tickets sold out in five days and attracted a waitlist of more than 200,000.

The $18 tickets were being hawked on Craigslist for $100 apiece, and attracted the likes of actor Seth Rogen and his wife Lauren Miller.

Tickets for the L.A. event are priced at $29 for adults, $18 for children.

Organizers are hoping for the same frenzied demand for their second instalment of the attraction, which will include 10 new installations like an interactive “banana split” attraction made up of 10,000 bananas; a mint “grow house” dedicated to California, and a melted ice pop jungle.

The museum’s signature swimmable sprinkle pool returns, filled with 100 million sprinkles.

Throughout its month-long run, the museum will feature a “scoop of the week” from ice creameries across California including McConnell’s, Salt & Straw, Coolhaus, Cream and My/Mo.

The vision of millennial Manhattanite Maryellis Bunn, the original New York edition also featured edible candy balloons filled with helium, miracle berry candies that turn sour foods sweet, and an interactive Tinder-inspired exhibit based on ice cream preferences.

The exhibit will travel to new locations throughout 2017 and 2018. JB
