Hirakata Park is an amusement park located in Osaka that has been in operation for 100 years now. While they are not as as glitzy as big name locations like Tokyo Disneyland and Universal Studios Japan, they make up for it in creativity.

Starting May, the park will be offering what they call a “new-style flash mob.” Here, park visitors will play out a scene that will start when park employees approach the participating visitor, reports RocketNews24.

Like in the video, a man can set it for him to look like a hero in front of his girlfriend by beating a bunch of “yankii-style” thugs.

There are a total of four scenarios to choose from. “Protect your beloved from a pair of thugs,” “A bomb is about to explode,” “Switching bodies (inspired by Your Name.),” and “A miracle is about to happen, thanks to your blood type.”

This unique flash mob service will be offered during the weekends of May and June, starting at 1 p.m. While the service is free, would-be heroes need to apply for a time slot on the Hirakata Park website.

Instead of a theater-like public performance, the whole affair is designed for great fun. Visitors can expect exaggerated acting and line delivery just as in the promo video. It’s certainly not a typical date activity, but looking at the video, it’s surely a cool change from just chilling in front of Netflix. Alfred Bayle/JB
