Instagram-able tables at Inquirer Lifestyle LOOKbook and Tatler’s wedding event
In the age of Instagram, it’s as imperative for a wedding banquet—the ambience, the food, the table settings and all the little trimmings—to be as photogenic as the bride herself.
At the recent “A Wedding Affair” held by Inquirer Lifestyle “The Bridal LOOKbook,” Bulgari, and Philippine Tatler Weddings, Solaire Resort & Casino presented inspiring table settings for Solaire weddings.
One was a stunning red table with a centerpiece of tall clusters of big red roses, surrounded by faceted glass and gold candelabras. Designed for a Chinese banquet, the plates were hand-painted with a red lantern motif, with red berries as accents for the place settings.
An equally elegant option was laid out on a round table covered in gold cloth, its centerpiece a large, tall arrangement of fuchsia blooms—roses, carnations, cascades of Phalaenopsis—with ropes of clear glass beads hanging from underneath. Vases of pink roses and peonies were alongside candles on chrome holders around the centerpiece, while cut fuchsia orchids adorned the table napkins.
A long banquet table option had “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” feel to it, with a fanciful canopy of pastel-colored flowers and fresh-cut leaves wrapped around twigs running atop and cascading down to the sides of a white table. From the canopy hung round glass vessels with votive candles.
More blossoms—pink tulips, carnations and roses; white Phalaenopsis, roses, daisies and lilies; yellow roses—were arranged in clusters across the table, surrounded with candles. It was laid out with gold-rimmed china, with each place setting trimmed with a pink tulip.
