Auditions for children for int’l tour of Disney’s ‘The Lion King’ to be held this July

The first international tour of Disney’s “The Lion King,” which premieres in Manila in March 2018 at The Theatre at Solaire, will be holding open call auditions this July. The production is searching for boys and girls from ages 9 to 12 for the roles of Young Simba and Young Nala.

The search is on for confident children with personality, natural actors/singers who can move well. Previous performing experience is not necessary.


The Manila premiere, presented by Concertus, opens the first international tour of “The Lion King,” with additional engagements in Singapore, Korea, Taiwan and South Africa. The international tour, to be performed in English, will launch in celebration of the musical’s 20th anniversary on stage and the title’s 25th global production.

Registration for the open call auditions will be held at Big Shift Studios, 3rd Level, A Venue Mall, Makati Avenue, Makati City, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on July 7, 2017.
