The membership shopping superstore opened its doors to the public a year ago today. It has since become a favorite go-to place for everyday household needs.

“It’s been one great year for us,” said Landers marketing director Pinky Angodung. “We’re a new player in the membership shopping industry … and the reception was quite overwhelming. From the time we opened, our membership has quadrupled.”

Angodung said Super Crazy Sale, which is running until July 16, was Landers’ way of showing gratitude and making its members feel extra special.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Huge discounts

Discounts and offers on the Super Crazy Sale start with 50 percent off on membership renewal and buy-one-get-one free on new memberships.

Landers is also offering a 20 percent discount on all membership fees, from P800 to P640. Extension card that costs P400 is now only P320.

From toiletries to linens, wines, liquor and kitchen utensils, Landers gives up to 50 percent discount on all home and lifestyle needs.

Check out the elegant Gibson Duraliving Dinnerware set for only P899.75 (down from its original price of P1,799.75). Or grab a bottle of Palmolive Classic Dishwashing Liquid and get an extra one for free.

“Our special SurPrice allows our members to buy products for only P1,” said Angodung. “They vary every day, from laundry detergent to popcorn, etc.”

 

However, each member can only buy a maximum of four SurPrice items.

Landers, which currently has branches in Balintawak, Quezon City, and Otis, Manila, also offers brands and products not found in other retail outlets or groceries—such as unique Oreo flavors, Nutella tubs, Gatorade energy chews and chocolate-flavored drink, Badia Spices and Himalayan Pink Salt, Mercer’s Wine Ice Cream, Double Rainbow Gourmet Ice Cream and even dry shampoos, to name a few.

“We have a good mix of imported and local products so that every time our members visit us, they find something new and interesting,” Angodung said. And those products were not necessarily available at wholesale prices. The store also sold items in small or travel-pack sizes.

“Shoppers can also purchase items per piece or tingi, such as shampoo per sachet or a roll of bathroom tissue,” said Angodung. “Even candies and bubblegum for kids are sold per piece.”

Another exclusive offering for Landers members is the “super fuel sale:” whenever they fill up their tank at Landers’ own gas station, Caltex, they get P2 off per liter of gasoline and P1.50 per liter of diesel.
