Buried Halloween treasure | Lifestyle.INQ

OCTOBER 27, 2022

What’s buried in the ground may be spooky, but it could also be a whole lot of plenty. Use this DIY activity to treat your family and friends this Halloween. Fill up a canister with goodies and bury them under crushed cookies (that will look like soil) for that element of surprise!

Materials:

Colored tin canister (Cooks Exchange), Cream-O Crinkles, pack of Halloween chocolates, gummy worms (Rustan’s grocery), black marker

Crush the cookies with a fork and knife, leaving some chunks.

Using your marker, draw and write Halloween characters and words.

Fill the canister with assorted chocolates, but not all the way to the brim, leaving enough room to top with crushed cookies.

Fill up the canister with crushed cookies.

Top off with gummy worms and chocolate eyeballs.

Finished product: a Halloween treat for kids and adults that you can give away
