Meet the new Miss Universe photographer
There’s a new face behind this year’s bright, refreshing portraits of the most beautiful women in the universe. Meet Georgina Vaughan, former Miss Nevada Teen USA and Miss Nevada USA: an artist, traveler, photographer, and Las Vegas native, she’s perfect for the job of a lifetime. Inquirer Lifestyle caught up with her to get the scoop on her latest stint, one that a million girls would kill for!
ON HER BACKGROUND
“My love of pageants and photography began when I was a contestant in 2009. After the
experience, I knew I still wanted to be a part of it. I began photographing beauty queens and
celebrities two years later. I have my dream job!”

“My style is all glam! I love bringing out the best in every single subject—making them
feel their best like never before in their lives.”

“The organization reached out to me for Miss USA last May and it was an incredible experience.
After seeing my work and capabilities, they asked me to come back for Miss Universe. It was a true honor.”
ON THIS YEAR’S PORTRAITS
“They provided me with a floral-themed idea and from there I had free rein to be creative. I
set up four floral walls as background, and every morning I’d maintain their bloom by adding
fresh flowers all over. When the girls finally posed in their Sherri Hill dresses, everything was
just pure magic.”
ON SHOOTING 93 OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL WOMEN IN THE UNIVERSE
“I am used to a fast-paced work flow. My team took around three and a half days to shoot the
girls, so we had to work 13 hours each day, yet despite these long hours, we had fun along the

“I’m only 29, so I am extremely blessed to be where I am at this age. I want to keep traveling and pushing myself further each year. Sky’s the limit.”
