A sweet taste of home for hardworking OFWs
Filipinos are widely known to be fiercely family-oriented. For Pinoys, family always comes first and they are willing to go the extra mile for their loved ones—taking on multiple jobs or even working overseas to provide for their families’ needs.
The Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) are truly our modern-day heroes. They sacrifice years of gruelling work while being away from their families to give them a comfortable life. Recognizing their labor and commitment, Chooks-to-Go is championing these individuals with its Sarap ng Pagsisikap campaign.
As a brand that has steadily become a part of the family’s dining table, Chooks-to-Go strives to reward Filipinos who have made countless achievements and successes. With Sarap ng Pagsisikap, the brand helps households honor and celebrate the hard work of their OFW heroes through a feast of their favorite roasted chicken.
To launch the campaign, Chooks-to-Go reached out to domestic helper Denden Sevilla from Saudi Arabia, warehouse assistant Leo Poliquit from Dubai, and domestic helper Nene Tongol from Hong Kong. Together, they planned to surprise their families back home with their unexpected arrival. But, what Denden, Leo and Nene didn’t know was that another sweet surprise was waiting to welcome them as well.
Chooks-to-Go also contacted the OFWs’ families and brought together all their loved ones for a heart-warming homecoming, celebrating their dedication and hard work to make their families happy. While Denden, Leo, and Nene were expecting to see faces of shock, what greeted them instead were the people they missed most excitedly anticipating their arrival.
The OFWs were greeted with a warm and festive reunion in their respective homes. Everyone was thrilled and emotional as they caught up with each other while enjoying a simple salu-salo of Chooks-to-Go and other Filipino dishes.
Chooks-to-Go has been a loyal brand to the Filipinos, showing support in more ways than one. It has made efforts to help on-the-go mothers by offering quality roasted chickens for the family as their go-to ‘di basta-bastang ulam.
Likewise, Chooks-to-Go is uniting Pinoys through their love for sports. The brand is a staunch supporter of the men’s national basketball team, Gilas Pilipinas, in their quest for international glory. It has also started a partnership to support Filipino women’s love for volleyball by joining Philippine Superliga.
