Now, more high-tech treatments can reach more customers at lower price points.

For people intimidated by laser beauty treatments—sometimes by the potential pain, most often by the price tag—a derm clinic is attempting to address the gap.

Kamiseta built its name on affordable fashion, and its new enterprise seeks to do the same. “We want to be a key player in the aesthetic industry by providing excellent, quality and affordable service to people of different classes,” says owner Cris Roque, who launched Kamiseta Skin recently.

The clinic focuses on price point—while delivering similar services as many high-end places do. Its machines mirror those of its peers: Ulthera (the collagen-building treatment that’s been dubbed the “noninvasive facelift”), Revlite (skin-correcting laser that targets irregular pigmentation, stimulates collagen production and reduces wrinkles), GMAX (laser hair removal), Hydrafacial, Fotona (series of laser treatments to tighten and resurface skin), and Thermlift (lifting, firming laser).

“Our machines are premium, and our doctors providing the services are experienced and board-certified,” Roque says. “Our medical director is the president of the Philippine Society of Cosmetic Surgery. All our doctors are certified and trained in all our machines.”

Since price point is the defining element, many treatments range from P1,500 to P3,500 per treatment. Roque provides packages at reduced rates as well. “We even offer zero-percent interest for three or six months,” says Roque.

Providing services at reduced prices that other clinics have set at premium prices indicates Kamiseta Skin is focused on reach—it is apparently opting for a more democratic approach.

“Our clients come first, and we want to give them the best service and ambiance at the most affordable price,” Roque says. “That way, we can accommodate more people of different classes. Just like in the United States, people in various socio-economic brackets can afford luxury services only an exclusive number of people enjoy, including taking care of their face and body using the latest in techniques and machines.”

The clinic’s ethos mimics the brand’s. “Kamiseta as a brand simply believes that beautification is a luxury that can be affordable, whether it be clothes or skincare,” Roque says.

Kamiseta Skin is at 3/F, Ayala Malls The 30th, Meralco Ave., Pasig, Manila; tel. 6371345, 09176258438.
