It was totally a wet weekend, dahlings, during the awesome Wakeboard Camp in Cebu. People from all over the country jetted there to have two days and nights of chilling out and recharging their batteries. Surprisingly there were more gals than guys, palanggas.

Super music played all day as top wakeboarders and waterskaters had a blast with watergun wars and beer pong. Others checked out the fantastic boat show.

Some of the vacationers brought their jet skis and showed their stuff in the jet ski exhibition.

During sunset, the fun boat called “Malandi” took the party out to sea with a DJ setup on the top deck.

DJ Marvin Evangelista of Manipulate-Distortedfunk UK dished out the sounds. Booze flowed onboard.

After in the sunset cruise, the party continued on land with DJ Jack Stone playing progressive tracks, followed by 2010 DJ of the Year Kutlyfe playing hip-hop until midnight.

DJ Ace Ramos of Styles Entertainment then rocked the crowd. Some loaded their waterguns with tequila, and there was an open bar for beer and servings of the famous Cebu lechon. Then DJ Andre Blanco played till sunrise.

“The Wet Weekend 2011 at Cebu Yacht Club was aimed at raising awareness of watersports among the young and young at heart, launch Quiksilver in Cebu and promote Cebu Yacht Club as a lifestyle destination,” said Kaz Onozawa, Rhipstop Soul Clothing CEO and Cebu Yacht Club planning director.

Quiksilver and Roxy dressed the entire Cebu Yacht Club crew, who all wore a fresh pair of Sperrys.

The occasion also launched Miladay’s newest collection of diamonds in white, yellow and black.

“We call this event Miladay Rocks because you rock our world,” Miladay president Michelle Dayrit-Soliven, my cousin, told the crowd.

Michelle said she and her sisters Jaqui Boncan, Christine Dayrit, Yvonne D. Romualdez and brother Mark Dayrit “are ever grateful to our loyal friends for giving us the inspiration to continue creating timeless jewelry pieces of exceptional quality.”

Friends who came to the show included Joy Buensalido, Toots Magsino, Sheila Lim, Maricar Xerez-Burgos, Martha Uy, Marissa Concepcion, Lizette Cojuangco, Rhona Macasaet, Cynthia Gonzales, Sandy Moran, Liza Latinazo, Annie Lim-Kawpeng, Joy Sy, Lucy Lee, Small Laude, Beebee Chua, Pen Roque.

For over four decades, the Dayrit clan said, the incredible trust of Miladay’s clientele has totally inspired the second-generation Dayrit jewelers to continue their parents’ legacy, with their sparkling creations and tradition that never go out of style.

Needless to say loads of women invitees came in their awesome blings-blings, which they have of course acquired through the years from this popular jeweler, palanggas.

Part of the proceeds of the event that night would go to Divine Healer Academy, a school founded by Fr. Gerard Deveza for poor but deserving students in Cabid-an, Sorsogon.
